Our Core
Programs.
We focus on sustainable solutions for sickle cell disease through medical aid, community awareness, and genetic advocacy in Uganda.

Sickle Cell Screening Camps
We organize comprehensive screening camps across rural and urban centers in the Teso sub-region. By identifying sickle cell traits early, we empower individuals with the knowledge needed for effective management and informed life choices.
- Rapid diagnostic testing
- On-site counseling
- Referral systems

Awareness Workshops
Our team visits schools and community centers to break the stigma surrounding sickle cell disease. We provide scientifically accurate information about the biconcave nature of cells and how SCD affects oxygen transport in the blood.
- Student sensitization
- Teacher training
- Educational materials

Healthcare Worker Training
We partner with local hospitals to train nurses, midwives, and clinicians on the latest protocols for managing sickle cell crises and routine care. Strengthening the health system is core to our mission.
- Crisis management
- Pain relief protocols
- Patient advocacy

Patient Support Groups
Living with SCD is a journey. Our support groups provide a safe space for warriors and their families to share experiences, receive emotional support, and access emergency medical funds during crises.
- Peer-to-peer mentoring
- Crisis fund access
- Mental health support
Our Health Philosophy
Because Every
Cell Counts.
Our programs are designed around the biology of sickle cell disease. By understanding how the hemoglobin mutation affects oxygen transport, we can implement targeted medical interventions that reduce pain crises and improve life expectancy for patients in the Teso sub-region.
